Classic banoffee pie.

Ingredients

8 servings
Digestive biscuits (graham crackers)16, crushed
Butter⅔ cup, divided
Brown sugar½ cup
Condensed milk (sweetened condensed milk)1 tin
Banana3 large, sliced
Fresh cream (thickened cream, heavy cream)1 cup, chilled
Sugar1 tbsp
Dark chocolate (bittersweet chocolate)20 g, grated
Salta pinch

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Mix the crushed biscuits with 75 g melted butter and press into a 9 inch loose bottom tin. Chill 20 minutes.
  2. 2Melt the remaining butter and brown sugar in a pan, stir in the condensed milk and salt and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. 3Pour the toffee over the base and chill 1 hour.
  4. 4Lay sliced bananas over the toffee.
  5. 5Whip the cream with sugar to soft peaks, spoon on top and grate chocolate over.
Serve it like this

Serve chilled wedges with extra banana slices and a dusting of cocoa, cut with a hot knife.
