Whole wheat bread (wholemeal bread)8 slices

Besan (chickpea flour, gram flour)1 cup

Waterabout 2/3 cup

Onion1 small, finely chopped

Tomato1 small, finely chopped

Capsicum (green capsicum, green bell pepper)2 tbsp, finely chopped

Method

3 steps

1Whisk besan, water, spices and salt into a thick, smooth batter. Stir in the vegetables.
2Dip each slice on one side, spreading a thick layer of batter.
3Cook batter side down on a lightly oiled tawa 2 to 3 minutes, flip and toast the other side.
