Ingredients

10 servings
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)2½ cups
Sugar⅓ cup
Butter3½ tbsp, melted
Milk⅔ cup
Baking powder½ tsp
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)for frying, about this much is absorbed

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Warm milk with sugar and butter until the sugar dissolves. Cool.
  2. 2Mix with maida and baking powder into a firm dough. Rest 30 minutes.
  3. 3Roll thin, cut strips and shape into twists, ears or knots.
  4. 4Fry on medium heat until golden and crisp.
Serve it like this
