Lions and yakhni

Lion's head is a dish from eastern China of large pork meatballs braised with napa cabbage, named for their resemblance to a lion's mane. Yakhni is a Kashmiri curd gravy flavoured with fennel and dry ginger.

Both are gentle, festive dishes.
