Ingredients

Broken wheat (cracked wheat)1¼ cups pounded wheat, soaked
Chicken, boneless400 g, with bone
Water6 cups
Onion1 large, sliced and fried
Ghee3 tbsp
Cashews12
Raisins1 tbsp
Whole spicescinnamon, cardamom
Saltto taste

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Pressure cook chicken with water, whole spices and salt for 3 whistles; shred the meat and keep the stock.
  2. 2Pressure cook the soaked wheat in the stock for 6 whistles and let the pressure release naturally.
  3. 3Add shredded chicken and stir hard, mashing until silky.
  4. 4Fry onions, cashews and raisins in ghee and pour over.
Serve it like this

Serve warm in deep bowls topped with fried onions, cashews, raisins and a drizzle of ghee.
