Green beansfinely chopped
Fresh grated coconut½ cup
Shallots4
Garlic2 cloves
Green chilli1
Cumin seedsa pinch
Turmeric (ground turmeric)a pinch
Coconut oil1 tbsp
Mustard seeds½ tsp
Urad dal (split black gram)½ tsp
Dried red chilli1
Curry leaves1 sprig
Salt¾ tsp

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Pulse the coconut, shallots, garlic, green chilli, cumin and turmeric to a coarse mix.
  2. 2Heat the coconut oil. Temper mustard seeds, urad dal, red chilli and curry leaves.
  3. 3Add the beans and salt, sprinkle a little water, cover and cook on medium.
  4. 4Make a well in the centre, add the coconut mix, cover for 2 minutes, then toss everything together.
Serve it like this

Serve hot on a plate, with a few fresh coriander leaves on top.
