Ingredients

2 servings
Gochujang2 tbsp
Gochugaru2 tsp
Vinegar2 tbsp
Sugar1 tbsp
Soy sauce2 tsp
Sesame oil2 tsp
Garlic1 clove, grated
Sesame seeds1 tsp
Wheat noodlessomyeon (thin wheat noodles)
Napa cabbage kimchi½ cup, chopped
Cucumbermatchsticks
Lettucea few leaves, shredded
Egg2, hard boiled and halved

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Mix the gochujang, gochugaru, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil and garlic into a sauce.
  2. 2Boil the noodles about 3 minutes, adding a splash of cold water when they foam up.
  3. 3Rinse under cold running water, rubbing the noodles with your hands until no longer starchy. Drain well.
  4. 4Toss the noodles with the sauce and kimchi. Pile into bowls and top with cucumber, lettuce, egg and sesame.
Serve it like this

Twirl the noodles high in a wide bowl, egg halves and cucumber on top, sesame scattered. A small bowl of warm broth alongside is classic.
