Ingredients

6 servings
Potato2 medium, boiled and mashed
Paneer150 g, grated
Sweet corn kernels (corn kernels)½ cup, lightly crushed
Carrot1 small, finely grated
Breadcrumbs½ cup, plus more to coat
Cornflour (cornstarch)2 tbsp
Coriander leaves (cilantro)2 tbsp, chopped
Cumin powder (ground cumin)½ tsp
Saltto taste
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)for shallow frying
Tomato ketchup (ketchup)to serve

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Mix the potato, paneer, corn, carrot, half the breadcrumbs, cornflour, coriander, cumin and salt.
  2. 2Roll into 24 small balls, flatten slightly and coat in the remaining crumbs.
  3. 3Chill 10 minutes, then shallow fry in batches over medium heat, turning, until golden.
  4. 4Drain on paper, add a toothpick to each and serve with ketchup.
Serve it like this

Stick a toothpick in each bite and stand them on a platter around a bowl of ketchup.
