Classic doon chetin.

Ingredients

Walnuts1 cup
Curd (plain yogurt, natural yoghurt)¾ cup
Mint leavesa handful
Green chilli1 to 2
Red chilli powder (indian red chili powder)a pinch, Kashmiri
Salt½ tsp
Water2 tbsp, as needed

Method

3 steps
  1. 1Soak the walnuts in warm water for 15 minutes, then drain.
  2. 2Grind the walnuts, mint, green chilli and salt to a coarse paste with a splash of water.
  3. 3Stir the paste into whisked curd and dust with Kashmiri chilli.
Serve it like this
