Classic gond ke laddu.

Ingredients

12 servings
Whole wheat flour (wholemeal atta flour, chapati flour)1⅔ cups
Ghee¾ cup
Edible gum (gond) (edible gum arabic)⅓ cup
Jaggery¾ cup, powdered
Almonds⅓ cup, chopped
Cashews¼ cup, chopped
Desiccated coconut (unsweetened shredded coconut)½ cup
Dry ginger powder (ground ginger)1 tsp
Cardamom½ tsp

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Fry gond in batches in hot ghee until it puffs up white. Crush lightly.
  2. 2Roast the nuts and coconut briefly in the same ghee.
  3. 3Roast the atta in the remaining ghee on low heat until deep golden.
  4. 4Cool to warm, mix everything with jaggery and dry ginger and shape 15 laddus.
Serve it like this

Serve one laddu with a glass of warm milk or tea on a winter morning.
