Homemade ginger ale.

Ingredients

4 servings
Gingera 10 cm piece, thinly sliced
Sugar½ cup
Water200 ml for the syrup
Lemon juice40 ml lemon juice
Soda water (club soda)800 ml, chilled
Ice cubesplenty

Method

3 steps
  1. 1Simmer the ginger, sugar and water for 10 minutes.
  2. 2Cool, then strain and stir in the lemon juice.
  3. 3For each glass, pour 50 ml syrup over ice and top with 200 ml soda.
Serve it like this

Serve in tall glasses over ice with a lemon wheel and a thin slice of ginger floating on top.
