Ingredients

3 servings
Milk1⅔ cups, frozen in a flat tray
Condensed milk (sweetened condensed milk)4 tbsp
Glutinous rice flour (sweet rice flour)½ cup
Water4 tbsp
Sugar1 tbsp
Kinako⅓ cup
Almonds2 tbsp, sliced and toasted

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Mix milk with half the condensed milk and freeze flat for 4 hours.
  2. 2Microwave rice flour, sugar and water 2 minutes, stir, then 1 minute more; cool and cut into small cubes in kinako.
  3. 3Shave or blitz the frozen milk into fine flakes in a chilled bowl.
  4. 4Top with kinako, rice cake cubes, almonds and the rest of the condensed milk.
Serve it like this

Pile the snow high in a chilled bowl, dust with kinako, crown with rice cake cubes and almonds; give everyone a spoon.
