Ingredients

5 servings
Carrot5 medium, peeled and chopped
Water600 ml
Gingera small piece
Condensed milk (sweetened condensed milk)⅓ tin
Evaporated milk150 ml
Nutmega good grating
Vanilla essence (vanilla flavouring, imitation vanilla extract)½ tsp
Lemon juice2 tsp lime juice

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Blend the carrots and ginger with the water until very fine.
  2. 2Strain through a fine sieve or muslin, squeezing hard.
  3. 3Whisk in the condensed milk, evaporated milk, nutmeg, vanilla and lime.
  4. 4Chill well and serve over ice.
Serve it like this

Serve chilled in glasses over ice with a grating of nutmeg on top.
