Ingredients

4 servings
Fish500 g seer fish slices
Red chilli powder (indian red chili powder)1 tbsp
Kashmiri chilli powder2 tsp
Turmeric (ground turmeric)¼ tsp
Ginger garlic paste1 tbsp
Black pepper½ tsp
Lemon juice1 tbsp
Rice flour1 tbsp
Saltto taste
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)3 tbsp, for shallow frying
Curry leaves2 sprigs

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Rub the fish with chilli powders, turmeric, ginger garlic paste, pepper, lemon juice, rice flour and salt. Rest for 20 minutes.
  2. 2Heat oil in a flat pan and add curry leaves. Lay the fish slices in.
  3. 3Fry on medium until the underside is crisp, then flip.
  4. 4Fry the other side until the fish is cooked through.
Serve it like this

Drain on paper for a minute, pile onto a plate and serve hot with chutney on the side.
