Ingredients

4 servings
Paneer250 g, cubed
Onion3 medium: 2 chopped, 1 in petals
Capsicum (green capsicum, green bell pepper)1, in squares
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)2 tbsp
Cumin seeds1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste1 tbsp
Tomato2 medium, chopped
Turmeric (ground turmeric)¼ tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder1 tsp
Coriander powder (ground coriander)2 tsp
Garam masala½ tsp
Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)½ tsp
Saltto taste
Coriander leaves (cilantro)chopped

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Toss the onion petals and capsicum in 1 tsp oil on high heat for 2 minutes. Set aside.
  2. 2Heat remaining oil, crackle cumin and fry the chopped onion until golden brown.
  3. 3Add ginger garlic paste, powders and tomatoes. Cook until oil separates.
  4. 4Add paneer, salt, a splash of water, the onion petals and capsicum. Toss 2 minutes and finish with garam masala, kasuri methi and coriander.
Serve it like this

Serve hot on a plate, with a few fresh coriander leaves on top.
