Ingredients
Rice flour2 cups
Chana dal (split chickpeas)2 tbsp, soaked 1 hour
Peanuts3 tbsp
Sesame seeds1 tbsp
Green chilli3, chopped
Garlic5 cloves, crushed
Onion1 small, chopped
Curry leaves2 sprigs, chopped
Coriander leaves (cilantro)a handful
Red chilli powder (indian red chili powder)½ tsp
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)3 tbsp
Waterabout 3/4 cup

Method
4 steps
1Mix rice flour with chana dal, peanuts, sesame, chillies, garlic, onion, curry leaves, coriander, chilli powder and salt; add water to a soft, non sticky dough.
2Grease a thick kadai or tawa with oil, take a ball of dough and press it out thin with wet fingers.
3Poke 5 or 6 holes with your finger and pour a little oil into each.
4Cover and cook on medium until the base is golden and crisp, about 8 minutes.
Serve it like this
Cut into wedges and serve hot with peanut chutney or curd and a cup of tea.
