Ingredients

Rice flour4 cups, from soaked rice
Sesame seeds¼ cup
Ajwain (carom seeds)1½ tsp
Waterabout 1 1/4 cups
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)for frying, about 1/2 cup absorbed
Saltto taste

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Mix rice flour with sesame, ajwain, salt and water to a firm dough.
  2. 2Shape spirals by hand on a cloth and let them dry for 30 minutes.
  3. 3Deep fry on medium heat until crisp and pale golden.
  4. 4Cool and store airtight.
Serve it like this
