Ingredients

Rice1 cup, matta or raw rice
Fresh grated coconut1 cup
Jaggery¾ cup, grated
Cardamom½ tsp
Dry ginger powder (ground ginger)a pinch

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Dry roast the rice on low heat until it puffs slightly and turns golden.
  2. 2Roast the coconut until dry and light golden.
  3. 3Grind the rice to a fine powder, then pulse with coconut, jaggery and spices.
  4. 4Press firmly into 15 balls.
Serve it like this
