Ingredients

4 servings
Chicken, boneless400 g boneless
Potato2 medium, boiled
Onion1 large, finely chopped
Ginger2.5 cm, chopped
Garlic4 cloves, chopped
Green chilli3, chopped
Curry leaves1 sprig, chopped
Garam masala1 tsp
Black pepper1 tsp, crushed
Coriander leaves (cilantro)a handful
Egg2, beaten
Whole wheat bread (wholemeal bread)4 slices, crumbed
Coconut oilfor shallow frying
Saltto taste

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Cook chicken with salt and pepper in a little water till no pink remains. Shred finely.
  2. 2Saute onion, ginger, garlic, chilli and curry leaves in a little oil. Add chicken, garam masala, pepper.
  3. 3Mix with mashed potato and coriander. Shape into ovals.
  4. 4Dip in beaten egg, roll in breadcrumbs.
  5. 5Shallow fry in coconut oil till golden on both sides.
Serve it like this

Drain on paper for a minute, pile onto a plate and serve hot with chutney on the side.
