Ingredients

4 servings
Beefsirloin, in 2 cm cubes
Oyster sauce1½ tbsp
Soy sauce1 tbsp
Jaggery2 tsp
Garlic4 cloves, minced
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)1½ tbsp
Black pepper2 tsp, freshly cracked, Kampot if you can
Lemon juice2 tbsp lime juice
Salt½ tsp
Lettuceleaves
Tomato1, sliced
Onion1, sliced
Cucumber1, sliced
Egg4
Cooked rice4 plates jasmine rice

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Marinate beef with oyster sauce, soy, jaggery, garlic and half the pepper for 30 minutes.
  2. 2Mix lime juice, salt and the rest of the pepper into a dip.
  3. 3Sear the beef in very hot oil, tossing, until browned outside and pink inside. Add onion for 30 seconds.
  4. 4Fry the eggs. Plate rice, salad, beef and egg with the dip.
Serve it like this

Arrange lettuce, tomato and cucumber on a plate, pile beef on top, rice on the side crowned with the fried egg, and the lime pepper dip in a ramekin.
