Ingredients

10 servings
Rava (semolina)1¼ cups, fine
Fresh grated coconut2 cups, fresh
Sugar¾ cup
Butter3 tbsp
Egg2
Baking powder½ tsp
Cardamom½ tsp

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Mix coconut, sugar and butter and cook on low heat 5 minutes until the sugar melts. Add rava and rest overnight.
  2. 2Beat in eggs, cardamom and baking powder to a firm dough.
  3. 3Shape into small balls, flatten and mark a cross with a knife.
  4. 4Bake at 180 C for 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve it like this
