Ingredients

2 servings
Sugar3 tbsp
Baking soda (bicarb soda, bicarbonate of soda)a tiny pinch
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)to grease

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Grease a sheet of baking paper, a flat bottomed cup and a cookie cutter.
  2. 2Melt the sugar in a steel ladle over low heat, stirring with a chopstick.
  3. 3Off the heat, stir in the soda quickly.
  4. 4Pour onto the paper, wait 10 seconds and press flat with the cup.
  5. 5Press the cutter lightly into the centre and let it cool.
Serve it like this

Serve each disc on its paper with a pin or toothpick for carving out the shape; eat the pieces as you go.
