Ingredients

Minced pork (pork mince, ground pork)pork mince
Cabbagefinely chopped
Onionfinely chopped
Spring onion (green onion, scallion)2, sliced
Ginger1 tbsp, grated
Garlic2 cloves
Soy sauce1 tbsp plus extra to serve
Oyster sauce2 tsp
Sesame oil1 tsp
White peppera pinch
Sugar½ tsp
Cornflour (cornstarch)1 tbsp
Wonton wrappersabout 30
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)for frying

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Salt the cabbage for 10 minutes and squeeze dry.
  2. 2Mix pork, cabbage, onion, spring onion, ginger, garlic, sauces, sesame oil, pepper, sugar and cornflour, stirring hard in one direction.
  3. 3Place a spoonful in each wrapper, gather the sides up around it and squeeze, leaving the top open.
  4. 4Steam 12 minutes until cooked through, then eat as is, or deep fry the steamed dim sims for 2 to 3 minutes until crisp.
  5. 5Serve with soy sauce.
Serve it like this

Serve hot in a paper bag or on a plate with a dish of soy sauce. Two or three per person as a snack.
