Ingredients

Vodka50 ml vodka, or dark rum
Coffee liqueur20 ml coffee liqueur
Espresso30 ml strong filter coffee decoction, cooled
Sugar syrup (simple syrup)10 ml sugar syrup, or jaggery syrup
Milk15 ml milk, frothed, to float
Ice cubesfor chilling and shaking

Method

  1. 1Brew a strong decoction in a filter and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  2. 2Shake the vodka, liqueur, decoction and syrup very hard with ice.
  3. 3Strain into a chilled coupe.
  4. 4Froth the milk by pouring it between two cups, dabara style, and spoon a little on top.
Serve it like this

Serve up in a chilled coupe or a steel tumbler with a frothy milk cap and three coffee beans. Mysore pak or biscuits alongside.
