Classic karah prasad.

Ingredients

8 servings
Whole wheat flour (wholemeal atta flour, chapati flour)1⅔ cups
Ghee1 cup
Sugar1 cup
Water3 cups

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Bring the sugar and water to a boil until the sugar dissolves. Keep hot.
  2. 2Melt ghee in a heavy kadai and roast the atta on low medium heat, stirring constantly.
  3. 3Pour in the hot syrup carefully and stir hard.
  4. 4Stir until it leaves the sides of the pan and the ghee shines.
Serve it like this

Serve warm, a small mound in cupped hands or a steel katori, with nothing else alongside.
