Besan (chickpea flour, gram flour)1⅔ cups
Water3 cups
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)3½ tbsp
Egg1
Cumin powder (ground cumin)1 tsp
Saltto taste
Harissa pasteto serve
White bread4 bread rolls

Method

3 steps
  1. 1Whisk the besan, water, oil and salt until smooth. Rest 30 minutes.
  2. 2Pour into an oiled tray, brush with beaten egg and bake at 200 C until set and golden.
  3. 3Cut into squares and serve hot in bread with cumin and harissa.
