Ingredients

4 servings
Minced beef (beef mince, beef or buff keema)300 g beef mince
Minced mutton (goat mince, ground goat)200 g lamb mince
Onion1, grated
Garlic2 cloves
White bread2 slices, soaked and squeezed
Egg1
Mint leavesa handful, chopped
Flat leaf parsleya handful, chopped
Dried oregano1 tsp
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)for dusting
Olive oilfor frying, about 60 g stays in
Saltto taste
Black peppera pinch
Lemon1, in wedges

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Mix all the ingredients except the flour, oil and lemon. Knead well and chill 30 minutes.
  2. 2Shape into walnut sized balls, flatten slightly and dust in flour.
  3. 3Fry in olive oil until deep brown and cooked through with no pink.
  4. 4Drain and serve with lemon.
Serve it like this
