Ingredients

Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)2½ cups
Instant dry yeast2 tsp
Sugar2 tsp
Water1¼ cups, warm
Salta pinch
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)for frying, about 100 g stays in
Honey½ cup, warmed with 2 tbsp water
Cinnamon1 tsp
Walnuts⅓ cup, chopped

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Whisk flour, yeast, sugar, salt and warm water into a thick, sticky batter. Rise until doubled and bubbly.
  2. 2Heat oil. Squeeze batter through your fist and scoop off small balls with a wet spoon into the oil.
  3. 3Fry, turning, until golden all over. Drain.
  4. 4Toss in warm honey syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon and walnuts.
Serve it like this

Pile in a bowl, pour over honey syrup and finish with cinnamon and walnuts. Serve warm with ice cream if you like.
