Ingredients

12 servings
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)4 cups
Instant dry yeast2 tsp
Water1¼ cups, lukewarm
Sugar1 tbsp
Salt1½ tsp
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)30 g dough, 30 g glaze
Garlic6 cloves, crushed
Dill leaveschopped

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Knead flour, yeast, water, sugar, salt and half the oil into a soft dough. Rise.
  2. 2Shape 12 balls, pack them close in a tin and rise again.
  3. 3Bake at 200 C until golden.
  4. 4Mix garlic, dill, oil and a pinch of salt and brush over the hot buns.
Serve it like this

Serve the buns still joined in a basket, glistening with garlic oil, beside a bowl of borscht.
