Ingredients

Mutton (goat meat)750 g
Milk3 cups
Onion1, fried and ground
Ghee2 tbsp
Whole spicesgreen cardamom, cloves, cinnamon
Fennel seeds1½ tsp, powdered
Dry ginger powder (ground ginger)1 tsp
Garlic2 cloves
Water1⅔ cups
Saltto taste

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Pressure cook mutton with water, salt, garlic and half the spices for 4 whistles. Let the pressure release naturally.
  2. 2Reduce the milk by a third with cardamom.
  3. 3Fry onion paste in ghee; add mutton, fennel and dry ginger.
  4. 4Add reduced milk and simmer.
Serve it like this

Serve warm in a bowl with steamed rice and a side of haak.
