Chicken, boneless500 g, minced

Breadcrumbs½ cup

Milk3 tbsp

Egg1

Onion1 small, grated

Garlic2 cloves, grated

Flat leaf parsley2 tbsp, chopped

Black pepper½ tsp

Saltto taste

Cooking oil (vegetable oil)1 tbsp, for the tray

Barbecue sauce½ cup

Fruit jam (jam or preserves)3 tbsp grape or mixed fruit jam

Red chilli sauce1½ tbsp

Method

5 steps

1Soak breadcrumbs in milk, then mix with chicken, egg, onion, garlic, parsley, pepper and salt.
2Roll into 30 small balls with wet hands and place on an oiled tray.
3Bake at 200 C for 15 minutes until browned and cooked through with no pink inside.
4Simmer bbq sauce, jam and chilli sauce until glossy.
5Toss the meatballs in the glaze and simmer 3 minutes.

Serve it like this

Serve in a warm bowl or small slow cooker with cocktail sticks, parsley scattered over. Keep warm.
