Ingredients

4 servings
Gundruk1 cup dried gundruk
Mustard oil1 tbsp
Onion1 small, sliced
Garlic4 cloves, chopped
Ginger1.5 cm, chopped
Tomato1 large, chopped
Green chilli2, slit
Turmeric (ground turmeric)a pinch
Saltto taste
Water3⅓ cups

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Soak the gundruk in warm water for 10 minutes, then squeeze dry.
  2. 2Heat mustard oil, fry onion, garlic, ginger and chillies until soft.
  3. 3Add tomato and turmeric and cook until soft, then the gundruk.
  4. 4Add water and salt and simmer 10 minutes.
Serve it like this

Ladle into warm bowls and serve hot, with a few coriander leaves on top.
