Ingredients

4 servings
Poha (flattened rice)1 cup thick poha, rinsed
Potato2, boiled and mashed
Onion1 small, finely chopped
Carrot1 small, grated
Green peas¼ cup, lightly mashed
Green chilli1, finely chopped
Ginger1.5 cm, grated
Coriander leaves (cilantro)2 tbsp, chopped
Garam masala¼ tsp
Dry mango powder½ tsp
Chaat masala½ tsp
Salt¾ tsp
Rice flour1½ tbsp
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)3 tbsp

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Rinse the poha, drain and rest 5 minutes till soft.
  2. 2Mix poha with potato, vegetables, chilli, ginger, coriander, spices, salt and rice flour.
  3. 3Shape into 12 patties.
  4. 4Shallow fry on medium 3 minutes a side.
Serve it like this

Drain on paper for a minute, pile onto a plate and serve hot with chutney on the side.
